Functional Chemo Systems
At LFCS, we aim to use chemical reactions to develop functional tools that can interact with or modify biological systems. Indeed for such applications, chemical transformations have to be optimized to proceed in a complex, non standardized and dynamic environment. They will have to interact with the biological system by either triggering a response or responding to a biological trigger. We conduct basic chemistry research expanding the repertoire of reactions that are suitable for biological systems, which we can then exploit to develop novel biological research, medical diagnostic and therapeutic applications. If it is appropriate the intellectual property of our research will be protected and commercialised.
