Our intellectual property strategy relies on the evaluation of the short- and mid-term valorisation potential, as well as the balance between scientific benefit vs. valorisation. Two main strategies are followed. Either the laboratory’s IP is patented for securing preliminary results and being able to gather a team aimed to perform a pre-industrial development. Or, the results are obtained in the frame of an industrial collaboration and are advanced by our partner.
The LFCS has a sucessful record of patenting its research and using it to create new companies. The LFCS is also part of the entenpreneural drug discovery LabEx, Medalis.
